Punjab Kings Launch Fundraising Campaign to Support Flood-Hit Punjab. Amid the devastating floods in Punjab, Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Punjab Kings (PBKS) has stepped forward with a compassionate initiative to support affected communities. Led by Shreyas Iyer, the team has already pledged ₹33.8 lakh for flood relief.

As part of their “Together for Punjab” campaign, PBKS has joined hands with Hemkunt Foundation and Round Table India to assist those in the hardest-hit areas. The franchise will provide inflatable rescue boats for evacuating stranded families, address medical emergencies, and deliver essential relief supplies, including clean drinking water.

In addition, PBKS has launched a fundraising drive on Ketto, aiming to raise ₹2 crore by September 15. The proceeds will be donated to The Global Sikh charity, which will use the funds to help rebuild the lives of families affected by the floods.

The Indian Premier League franchise Punjab Kings has announced its contribution to flood relief efforts in the state. In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), the team outlined its plans to aid the affected communities.

“Punjab Kings has partnered with Hemkunt Foundation and Round Table India under the ‘Together for Punjab’ initiative to support flood relief operations across the state’s hardest-hit districts. As part of this effort, the franchise will contribute donations totaling Rs. 33.8 lakh,” the team shared on X.

Punjab is currently grappling with its most severe floods in decades. The disaster has claimed the lives of around 40 people and affected over 3.5 lakh residents, with all 23 districts now officially declared flood-affected.

The floods, caused by heavy rainfall in Punjab and neighboring regions of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir, have impacted more than 1,000 villages.

Rescue and relief operations are ongoing, with over 11,000 people evacuated to safer areas with the assistance of the Army, NDRF, BSF, and local authorities.
