Get Away From It All
We all work too hard nowadays and life can be very stressful, we need to make more time for ourselves, thats why we believe that there is nothing like taking to the skies to get away from it all. Flying provides a sense of life, perspective and accomplishment that we all need to experience as often as we can.
Why Fly?
We believe that the experience, sense of freedom and accomplishment, that go along with learning to fly aircraft and fixed-wing microlights, and taking to the skies whenever and wherever you please; is basically heaven. We believe it benefits your life though your achievement in an extraordinary field of activity, and that doing something you have only dreamed of - like piloting a small aircraft - is a vital experience for us all.Flying and Microlighting - It's something different
When a friend asks, what do you get up to in your spare time, you may need to pick them up off the floor when you say 'I fly'.
Flying in Northern Ireland is a uniquely amazing experience that always has something new to offer and new to learn, so that as your confidence as a pilot grows, your thirst for exploration does too, just look at the views below, see what you're missing!

Facilities
On the Kernan site at Tandragee we have our new clubhouse which is one of the best in Ireland and possibly in the UK, fitted with a kitchen and toilets for members to use. It also has a excellent relaxing area where you can watch aircraft take off and land either inside or outside as weather permits. Next to it is our office facility which has a new well equipped briefing and lecture room. There is also ample car parking, two large hangars and plenty of space to park aircraft for overnight stay. Fuel is available and taxi's, accommodation etc can be arranged.
Aircraft
Ikarus C42 and Thruster T600 Sprint
We use two fixed wing aircraft for training at Kernan Aviation, the Ikarus C42 and the Thruster Jabiru Sprint, which are both very safe and reliable aircraft. The C42 is more like conventional aircraft, using flaps, electric trim, etc which cruises at 85 knts, the Thruster is a more conventional microlight and cruises at 70 knts.
