Instructors

We have three fixed wing instructors at present, Raphael O'Carroll, full time, and two other part time, all are fully qualified CAA approved instructors and have thousands of hours experience between them.

Two instructors have light aircraft licences as well therefore you will be well looked after and in safe hands.


Tandragee Home Strip 

 

Facilities 

Our offices are well equipped with briefing and lecture rooms, we have three large hangars, car parking and plenty of space to park aircraft for overnight stays and fuel is also available. Taxis, accommodation etc can be arranged locally.

On site at Tandragee we have a new clubhouse fitted with kitchen and toilets for members to use with an excellent relaxing area where members can watch aircraft take off and land whatever the weather.

These facilities are also available to the public when accompanying students or trial flights and tea and coffee is always available.

Ikarus  C42

Thruster T600 Sprint

Kernan Aviation use four aircraft for training, three Ikarus C42's and the Thruster Jabiru Sprint, all of which are very safe and reliable aircraft. The C42 is more like conventional aircraft, using flaps, electric trim etc which cruises at 85 knots, the Thruster is a more conventional microlight and cruises at 70 knots.
